I am a passionate cook, gardener, baker and homemaker/homesteader. I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful little kids! We are a multi-cultural family. My husband is a Palestinian city boy and I'm a good ole American farm girl. I love to take the best of both our culures and food, and blend them to create something entirely "us". I have recently rekindled my love of creating things from scratch to create a healthier more economical lifestyle. I also feel that children learn healthy eating by actively participating in every part of food prepartion, from garden to table. When food is work, it is not taken so lightly, and when work is so delicious- it is not so tedious! I hope you enjoy our family's journey as we work towards a healthier, more real way of eating.
